Structure of a good curriculum vitae

The curriculum vitae is the first contact you will have with the employer that you want to be hired, therefore, it has to be clear and very well structured. A good curriculum must have four distinct parts: personal data, training, professional experience and complementary data. In this article, we show you what you will have to include in each part of the curriculum vitae and how to do it.

Personal information

In this section you will have to state your name and surname, place of birth, address, telephone number, email address, age and marital status.

Academic training

Here, the studies carried out and the degree obtained will be included, with the relation of the centers where these studies have been taken. Languages ​​will also be added indicating a small assessment graduating from less to more (low, medium or high level) spoken and written. Languages ​​can be put in this section or in the complementary data section. If you don”t have a lot of complementary data to add, put them in that section. If, on the other hand, you do not have much academic training, add the languages ​​in the training section. You can also include unregulated studies that have a direct relationship with the professional field for which the job interview is being conducted. Curriculum vitae it will be done in reverse chronological order, that is, the one that is most recent will be the one that will be placed above. Professional experience

To do this section you can follow a chronological, functional or mixed order although the first one is the most common. Here we will expose all professional and paid experiences. You will have to indicate the dates, the name and the activity of the company, the job and, if possible, a name so that if desired, references can be requested.

The complementary data

In this last section of the curriculum you can include some data that may be of interest or relevant. Some people think that it is positive to include hobbies, preferences and tastes but this is absolutely personal.
