How to prepare the travel bag

Most of us love to go on a trip, but not all of us are convinced by packing suitcases… And it can be even worse to pack a toiletry bag! Some start well in advance and others wait until the last minute, but the thing is not to forget anything. We must take into account the type of trip, the transport, if we only have to prepare hand luggage or if we have other suitcases… There are many factors that take sides, that is why we want to facilitate the task and give you some tips on how to prepare your travel bag.

Steps to follow:

1. The first thing you should take into account to prepare your travel bag will be the destination and the duration of the trip, since based on this you will choose some things or others to put inside your luggage.

2. Likewise, your toiletry bag will vary depending on the type of trip you are going to make: business, cruise, route by car, camping, mountain excursions, etc. The means of transport in which you are going to travel will also be important, since if for example you have to take a plane, you will have to respect the safety measures and regulations.

3. There are a number of essential things that you should always put in your toiletry bag such as: a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, comb and/or brush, shampoo and shower gel, tissues… As well as razors and lotion, in the case of men, and feminine hygiene products (pads, tampons, etc.) in the case of them.

4. Nor should you forget other products such as: sunscreen, not only if your destination is the beach but also for trips to the mountains or other destinations where you will be exposed to the sun”s rays; as well as a moisturizer, since changing the water can dry out your skin a lot; a small medicine cabinet with essential things such as painkillers, plasters, etc. or also incorporate a good mosquito repellent.

5. It will be necessary for you to use small travel-format containers to avoid taxiing with large cans and bottles that will only take up space and make you uncomfortable. If they are all the same or you have reused old containers, you can use labels to mark what each one contains and thus not make a mistake.

6. As for products that are not essential (makeup, perfumes, etc.) you should prioritize and take with you the minimum possible and thus optimize the space in your toiletry bag. The same happens with other items such as the hair dryer, you should assess whether it is really necessary to take it with you and, if it is, opt for a travel-size one.
