How to change the color of my car

Steps to follow:

One.We will start by cleaning the car in depth, especially on the outside, removing all the dirt that may have been embedded in the paint; but also inside.

Two.Next, what we have to do to change the color of the car is to disassemble all those parts that we will paint separately or that do not need to be colored. Basically, it”s all about the lights, the license plates, the bumper, and the trunk lid.

3.Taking advantage of the fact that we are going to change the color of the car, we will check the small scratches that may be on the bodywork.

4.Then, what we have to do is cover the car windows, wheels and other areas of the body that we do not want to paint with plastic. With adhesive tape we will fasten these plastics. Before starting to paint, we will check that everything has been properly protected.

5.The process of painting the car then begins, which must be carried out with a suitable spray gun. The person who is going to give the new color to the vehicle must be adequately protected, with gloves, a mask to avoid inhaling toxic substances and glasses.

6.Once the bodywork has been painted and dried, we will proceed to paint the parts that we have disassembled and that need it, basically the boot lid and some other small piece that will vary depending on the model of our car.

7.When everything is dry, we remove the protective plastics and place the parts that had been disassembled. We must not forget to inform the General Directorate of Traffic about the change in color of our car, as well as our insurance company.
