Imagine that you are just a girl, your mother gives you a nice ring that you like a lot, months later you lose it, you assume that you will never see it again … 12 years later you find it in the least expected place: YOUR NOSE!
Exactly that is what happened to Abigail Thompson. When she was a child, her mother gave her a gold ring in the shape of a heart with a small diamond in the center. One day he simply did not find it and thought it had been stolen.
My mother gave it to me and a few months later I lost it. Friends always came to my house and we sat in my bed, so I thought some of them would have taken it while there. Never, not in a million years, would have imagined that he had it in his nose.
And how come he did not feel anything?
According to Dr. Naveen Cavale, it is not unusual for children to have objects stuck in their noses because, well, you know, they sting it as if they wanted to scratch their brains. What really impresses us is that, in 12 years, I have not felt any discomfort.
It turns out that this is also not strange because the ring was stuck in the highest part of the nose, where we have almost no sensitivity, and that’s why Abigail had no discomfort, could breathe normally and never had to visit the doctor for problems related with the jewel.
One day, at home, he blew his nose but did not have any strange feeling when doing it. But then he felt something hard on the napkin and decided to check. It was then that he noticed the presence of the object he had lost as a child.
It has not changed much, it is rusty but the diamond is still there.
